Many thanks to everyone that made it to the Austin City Council meeting yesterday for an anti-coal demonstration! Twenty five to thirty concerned citizens stood up in City Council chambers, dressed in black to represent the yearly moralities from our Fayette Coal Plant, as Ryan Rittenhouse addressed the Council. Check out the video below for more, and join the facebook group Austin has a Dirty Secret to stay in the loop on future coal actions and demonstrations:

Hi, you may want to feature this story somehow: http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/green/Power-Play-Could-Earn-Family-25K-64577297.html
It is my family, who has been working nonstop on energy efficient improvements in their home for the past 3 months. The TXU contest to see who upgrades their home to the most green ends oct. 30th, and online votes will decide who wins. I am so proud of them, as they have made it to top 3 in Texas with their hard work so far. Please vote if you can at http://psc.gotxu.com/vote. Thank you!
This is a great post.. Very informative… I can see that you put a lot of hard work on your every post that’s why I think I’d come here more often. Keep it up! By the way, you can also drop by my blogs. They’re about Vegetable Gardening and Composting. I’m sure you’d find my blogs helpful too.
