In the month of October, we all witnessed the very impressive Blog Action Day where bloggers from all over the country and the world addressed the issue of climate change through their writings. Repower America has taken it a step further.
Their website now has a wall for everyone to go and post their pictures, videos, or text. It is a very original and unique idea that Al Gore has described as a “revolutionary approach” and an “ambitious strategy.”
The wall is a place where people from different walks of life express their opinion about green energy. Doctors, military leaders, actors, environmental organizations, and many others have all posted their pictures and videos. It is an overwhelmingly powerful tool.
The Wall is a place where literally thousands and thousands of people committed to a revolutionary new energy future for our nation and the world are coming together — to express our hopes, share our resolve, and step up to a leadership role in building a grassroots movement for change like nothing America has ever seen. It’s an opportunity for you to be part of the climate movement in a new way, in a way that takes us beyond ourselves. – Al Gore wrote on his his journal.
It is a very simple process to get your post on the wall. Visit this website and follow the simple instructions. Remember adding your own video or photo to you post will only make your message it more powerful.

Climate change is kind of a vague meaningless term. Since global warming ain’t happening, we need to worry about climate change. The average temperature has been dropping for the last 10 years. I will vote for anyone that promises to change the weather the way we like it! By the way, who will tell us the way it should be? A climate czar?
Hey Hobo,
I would refer you first to another post we made a few weeks ago: http://texasvox.org/2009/03/04/global-warming-causes-more-than-heat/ As you can see from the title, Global Warming Causes More Than Heat; so, climate change is a completely acceptable (and accurate) description of the phenomenon.
Furthermore, the average temperature has NOT been dropping, despite the dreck you may have heard on cable news or read on another blog. But don’t believe me, ask 90% of the scientists who study climate: “Examining the Consensus on Climate change” http://tigger.uic.edu/~pdoran/012009_Doran_final.pdf
Or check out this article, simply entitled “Statisticians Reject Global Cooling” http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091026/ap_on_sc/us_sci_global_cooling
As for who will tell us what the weather “should” be, I can’t answer that question– weather is different from climate. But as to what we should limit our atmospheric concentration of CO2 at, I’ll refer you to the fine folks at 350.org. We don’t need a climate czar– we already have the consensus opinion of 13 US Federal Agencies in the US Climate Change Science Program (CCSP)- you can read their report here on the essential things you need to know about climate change: http://www.climatescience.gov/Library/Literacy/default.php I highly recommend you read that and spend less time lurking climate denier websites.
