As you may or may not know, Governor Rick Perry has vetoed the funding for the Public Integrity Unit, the group charged with enforcing ethics standards for public officials, as well as insurance fraud and motor vehicle tax fraud. This veto could not have come at a more questionable time. On the back of other ethics veto’s, Perry has brought to light his true feelings about the ethics laws in Texas.
